Under the authority of Nevada Revised Statute 414, the State of Nevada Division of Emergency Management, (DEM) coordinates the efforts of the State and its political subdivisions together in partnership with private and volunteer organizations, and tribal nations, in reducing the impact of disasters by developing, planning, implementing, and maintenance of programs for mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
